Born on 18th July 1982 to the family of Capt Dr Ashok Chopra and Dr Madhu Chopra, this first-born girl child of a large extended family was brought up like a flower, in the warmth and love of her grandparents, aunts & uncles. Soon, Priyanka’s twinkling eyes and fascinating smile transformed the life of every one around her.
The Femina Miss India Contest, which she won with aplomb. She then represented India for the Miss World title in 2000 and came back with top honours.
Priyanka first acted in a Tamil film Thamizhan (2002) co-starring with Vijay. After that she appeared in several Hindi movies, such as Andaaz (2003),
She joined a group of top stars (Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherji, Saif Ali Khan, Priety Zinta and Arjun Rampal) in the Temptation 2004 concert, which was a huge international success.
